Terms of Service
These terms govern use of the DistrictWise website and, for authorized seat holders, the DistrictWise service (the "Service"), operated by Synergy Media Group, dba DistrictWise ("we," "us"). If your school district has a signed agreement with us, that agreement — not these terms — controls wherever the two differ.
1. Who these terms are for
- Visitors to districtwise.ai.
- Seat holders: staff of subscribing or pilot districts who have been assigned a named seat by their district.
2. Accounts and seats
Seats are named and individual. Don't share credentials. Your district administers who holds seats and may reassign them. We may suspend a seat that is being misused, and will tell your district's administrator when we do.
3. DistrictWise is not legal advice
DistrictWise locates, summarizes, and cross-references your district's adopted policies and the legal authorities they cite. DistrictWise does not provide legal advice, and nothing in the Service creates an attorney-client relationship. Risk indicators and suggested next steps are triage aids to help staff decide when to consult district leadership or legal counsel; they are not a substitute for that consultation. Your district retains sole responsibility for its decisions and actions.
Verify citations before acting. When an answer is flagged for escalation, follow your district's process for involving leadership or counsel.
4. Acceptable use
Don't: submit rosters or bulk student data; attempt to defeat or probe the PII-masking layer; share seat credentials; scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service; or use it for anything other than your district's business. Your district's first-login acknowledgment states the same rules; both apply.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, and its content (other than your district's policies and data) are ours. Your district's policies and records remain your district's. Your seat gives you a right to use the Service, not a license to anything more.
6. Outputs
Answers are generated from your district's adopted policies and cited so you can check them. Outputs are triage aids (see §3 above and our AI transparency page); we don't warrant the accuracy or completeness of any individual output.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it, including on-device PII masking. It is the single source of truth on data handling; these terms add nothing to it.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The website is provided "as is." For the Service, warranty, liability, and indemnity terms are in your district's agreement, which controls. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to any visitor or seat holder under these terms — as distinct from a district agreement — is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post changes here with a new effective date, and material changes affecting seat holders are also announced in-product. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
